UNION AND ARTS CLUB INAUGURATION The Union and Arts Club of Sabarigiri College of Education was inaugurated on November 1, 2024, in the college's General Hall. The program, conducted by the college union members, commenced at 10:00 AM. Anchors Ammulekshmi and Akshara warmly welcomed everyone, followed by a melodious prayer sung by Aiswarya and a graceful welcome dance performed by Arathi. Our distinguished guests, Dr. Jayakumar and Vineeth Elamadu, a renowned mimicry artist, were honored with a warm introduction. Dr. Roy G, our principal, delivered a heartfelt welcome speech. Dr. V.K. Jayakumar, founder and chairman of the Sabarigiri Group, lit the lamp and inaugurated the ceremony, accompanied by Dr. Roy, Miss Sreedevi, Vineeth Elamadu, Chairperson Unnimaya, General Secretary Anju, and Arts Club Secretary Soorya. His tireless efforts ensured India's unity and integrity, earning him a permanent place in the country's history. National Unity Day, celebrated on October 31, marks his birth anniversary and serves as a reminder of his invaluable contributions to India. On October 30, our college celebrated National Unity Day, commemorating the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. SCHOOL INDUCTION PROGRAMME: DAY 5 (25-10-2024)

DAY 5 On the fifth day, October 25, 2024, Friday, we reached the school at 9.15am. we signed the attendance register and went to the classroom assigned to us. REFLECTION ON SCHOOL EXPERIENCE  I arrived at the school campus at 9:15 a.m. After signing the register, I was assigned disciplinary duty at the school gate to ensure the safety of students crossing the road. As it was our last day at school, we joined the teachers' prayer session, which typically takes place in the staff room before the school prayer. I was then free until the fourth period. During the fourth period, I covered a substitution class for 6B. Afterward, I served lunch to the students as part of the noon meal program. Shortly thereafter, I received another substitution assignment for the 7B class. In the sixth period, I also covered a substitution class for 7C. DAY 4 On the fourth day, October 24, 2024, Thursday, we reached the school at 9.15am. we signed the attendance register and went to the classroom assigned to us. REFLECTION ON SCHOOL EXPERIENCE    This evening, the 10th standard students are going on their tour, so the teachers in charge were on leave. As a result, we had substitution duties. During the first period, Aparna and I went to the 6A class for substitution. After that, we split up, and I went to 7B for substitution in the fourth period. Today, I couldn't serve meals to the students because I had duty during the period just before lunch break. However, I was on disciplinary duty near the serving area. After lunch, I again had substitution in the 7C class during the fifth period. After the fifth hour, a student was not feeling well. DAY 3 On the third day, October 23, 2024, wednesday, we arrived at the school at 9:15 a.m. We signed the attendance register and then proceeded to the classroom assigned to us. INTERNAL REFLECTION ON SCHOOL EXPERIENCE   During the second period, we conducted a shared class for the students. In the third hour, we observed a subject teacher class for 9th standard students. Today, we again served lunch to the students as part of the noon meal program. Along with lunch, students were also given boiled eggs. At the beginning of the afternoon session, we received a substitution class for 5th standard. Later, we visited the Headmistress's (HM) office and collected information about the school's history and other details. The HM and other staff members were very cooperative and patiently answered our questions. We observed students practicing vanchipaattu and band for kalolsavam. DAY 2 On the second day, October 22, 2024, Tuesday, we arrived at the school at 9:15 a.m. We signed the attendance register and then proceeded to the classroom assigned to us. REFLECTION ON SCHOOL EXPERIENCE  During the second period, we conducted a shared class for the students. In the fourth hour, while the teachers were arranging desks and benches for a program, we assisted them in setting up the tables. Today, we had the opportunity to serve lunch to the students as part of the noon meal program, which was a unique experience. At the beginning of the afternoon session, the teacher asked us to inform the students of 9C about the program and escort them to the program hall. In the afternoon session, we conducted another shared class for the students. We observed practice sessions for various events, including vanchipaattu, school band, and kho-kho on the school ground. SCHOOL INDUCTION PROGRAMME  The prime purpose of initiatory school experience is to provide the student teachers an opportunity to have primary experience with the functioning of the school. This school attachment programme for a period of 5 continuous working days given them an opportunity to acquired with the school environment and the day to day functioning, observation of lesson of senior teachers individually or in small group meeting the student informally to learn their environment background and interest on learning, observing the facilities in the school. We selected the Abraham Marthoma Memorial High School, Karavaloor for initiatory school visit. FIRST DAY   The initiatory school visit commenced on October 21, 2024, a Monday. Five students from our college, including myself (Pooja B I), Aparna S from the Natural Science option, Malavika from the English option, and Anakha and Anupama from the Social Science option, arrived at the school.
