NATIONAL UNITY DAY
Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the "Iron Man of India," played a pivotal role in integrating the country's 565 princely states into the Union of India. His tireless efforts ensured India's unity and integrity, earning him a permanent place in the country's history. National Unity Day, celebrated on October 31, marks his birth anniversary and serves as a reminder of his invaluable contributions to India.
On October 30, our college celebrated National Unity Day, commemorating the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The program commenced at 10:00 AM in the general hall, where students, teachers, and staff gathered to pay tribute to the "Iron Man of India."
The program began with a brief introduction to the history and significance of National Unity Day, presented by Ashna. She highlighted the importance of unity and integrity in India's progress and development. Following her presentation, Arvind administered the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas pledge, reaffirming the audience's commitment to India's unity and integrity.
Ammu Lakshmi then presented a thought-provoking poster on the theme of national unity, showcasing her creativity and artistic skills. Pooja's PowerPoint presentation further emphasized the significance of unity in India's diverse cultural landscape.
The highlight of the program was a short yet inspiring speech by our principal, Dr. Roy G. He emphasized the importance of national unity in India's growth and development, citing Sardar Patel's contributions as a shining example.
The entire program was meticulously mentored and coordinated by the NSS teacher coordinator, Jaseena Miss. Her efforts ensured a smooth and successful execution of the event, which served as a fitting tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's legacy.
