GENERAL REFLECTION: WEEK 5 (18.08.2025)

WEEKEND GENERAL REFLECTION: Week 5 On August 18, 2025, we had our weekly reflection session at Sabarigiri College from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the general hall. The program was attended by our Principal, Roy Sir, along with faculty members Sreedevi Miss, Meenu Miss, Revathy Miss, Jaseena Miss, Rakhi Miss, and Shyam Sir. The session began with Joyce from Sabarigiri School, who shared her positive teaching experience. She felt that her personality, voice modulation, and classroom management skills had improved considerably, and she had developed a strong connection with her first-standard students. Jerin from Punalur St. Goretti spoke next, highlighting how her teaching abilities had grown and how the school successfully balanced both curricular and co-curricular activities. TEACHING PRACTICE WEEK 5: 11.08.2025 (MONDAY) TO 16.08.2025 (SATURDAY)                 REFLECTION ON SCHOOL EXPERIENCE MONDAY - 11.08.2025 Today I reached the school by around 9.05 a.m. After signing the register, I went for my disciplinary duty in the school corridor. Then I returned to the teacher's staff room to attend the teacher's prayer. After the school prayer I went back to my assigned room. During the third period, I conducted the diagnostic test in my concerned class, 8B, and collected all the answer sheets. During the lunch break, we served the midday meal to the students. As I did not have any substitution periods or additional classes today, I utilized the time to complete my pending college work. By 4:30 pm, I signed the attendance register and left the school campus. WEEKEND REFLECTION: WEEK 4 (10.08.2025)

The Natural Science Department of Sabarigiri College of Education conducted the weekly reflection for the first phase of teaching practice on Sunday, 10th August 2025. The meeting was held online via Google Meet from 10:00 am to 10:45 am. The session began with representatives from each school presenting their weekly reflections. Aparna first shared her own and my reflections from Karavaloor School, followed by Akshaya from Karukone School, who spoke positively about her week’s experiences. Then arathi presented her classroom experiences for the week. This was followed by Muhsina and Nuju from St. Goretti’s School, who discussed the challenges they faced due to recent changes in their assigned classes. Arya and Bhavana from Poredom School shared their reflections next, and Ameena from Vayala School concluded the presentations by sharing reflections for herself and Anuroop. TEACHING PRACTICE WEEK 3: 04.08.2025 ( MONDAY ) TO 08.08.2025 ( FRIDAY )                                                          REFLECTION ON SCHOOL EXPERIENCE MONDAY - 04.08.2025 I came to the school by 8.50 am, signed the register, and went for my disciplinary duty in the corridors. After completing the duty, I returned to the staff room for the teacher’s prayer session. Following the school prayer, I proceeded to the assigned room. GENERAL REFLECTION: WEEK 3 (02.08.2025)

On 2nd August 2025, we had our general reflection session as part of Phase 1 of our teaching practice. The session took place in the general hall at 11:00 a.m., in the presence of our Principal Dr. Roy Sir, along with Sreedevi Miss, Shamla Miss, Shyam Sir, and Rakhi Miss. Attendance was low, with many student teachers absent. The session began with Roy Sir welcoming everyone and formally initiating the discussion.  He began by outlining the upcoming schedule, informing us that we were permitted to remain in our practice schools until 14th August, by which time we were expected to complete the portions allotted to us. He also mentioned that we would report back to the college on 18th August. Following this, one representative from each school was invited to share their three-week teaching experiences. Aarathi represented Karukone School and shared her collective experience, including the positive and supportive attitude of the HM and teachers, as well as her personal experiences....
