COMMUNITY LIVING CAMP AND NSS CAMP - DAY 6
DAY 6 - 14.01.2026
The sixth day of the Community Living Camp began with the regular morning routine. Volunteers woke up early and assembled for tea, followed by yoga and Zumba sessions, which helped maintain physical fitness, mental relaxation, and discipline. After freshening up and breakfast, the morning assembly was conducted. During the assembly, the programme committee of the previous day presented their report, summarizing the important activities and achievements of Day 5. The programme committee of Day 6 presented the schedule of programmes planned for the day, ensuring proper coordination and preparedness among the volunteers. The media committee also presented the news report of the previous day, highlighting the camp activities and community responses.
The major programme of the forenoon session was a Fire and Rescue Awareness Class conducted by the Fire Force Department. The session was highly informative and engaging. The resource persons provided practical demonstrations and explained various safety measures related to fire emergencies. The class mainly focused on first aid measures, fire prevention techniques, and precautions to be taken during fire-related emergencies. The session helped student teachers understand how to respond effectively during emergency situations and created awareness about disaster management and safety preparedness.
After the session, volunteers had lunch and prepared for the afternoon programme. The afternoon session included a Craft Workshop on Paper Bag Making, conducted by Briju Sir, the art teacher. The workshop involved making paper bags of different sizes using eco-friendly materials. The session was fun-filled, interactive, and creative. Volunteers actively participated in the activity, which encouraged environmental awareness by promoting the use of paper bags instead of plastic bags. The workshop also helped enhance creativity, skill development, and teamwork among the volunteers.
In the evening, volunteers participated in tea break and refreshment followed by community prayer, which promoted unity and spiritual harmony among the camp members. To happily conclude the day’s programmes, a Musical Night was organized with the support of Symphony Beats. The programme was lively, entertaining, and energetic, with enthusiastic participation from the student teachers. The musical performances created a joyful atmosphere and provided an opportunity for volunteers to showcase their talents and relax after the day’s activities.
The sixth day concluded with dinner followed by lights off. The day was highly productive as it provided valuable learning experiences related to safety awareness, environmental responsibility, creativity, and cultural participation.
