TEACHING PRACTICE WEEK 4: 27.10.2025 (MONDAY) TO 31.10.2025 (FRIDAY)

                 REFLECTION ON SCHOOL EXPERIENCE

MONDAY- 27.10.2025
Today I reached the school by around 9.05 a.m. After signing the register, I went for my disciplinary duty in the school corridor. Then I returned to the teacher's staff room to attend the teacher's prayer. After the school prayer, we went back to the allotted room. During the first period, I took a substitution class in 7B, where I engaged the students by conducting a quiz. In the third period, I handled my concerned class 8B and taught the topic: Kingdom Protista, with suitable examples.
During the lunch break, we served the midday meal to the students. In the fifth period, a Physical Education observation class was conducted by our concerned teacher, Aadhil Sir. So I took a Physical Education class in my concerned class 8B.
In the seventh period, I took a substitution class in my concerned class 9B, where I taught the topic: Experiment Showing the Presence of Carbon Dioxide in Inhaled and Exhaled Air. By 4:30 p.m., we signed the register and left the school campus.

TUESDAY - 28.10.2025
Today I reached the school by around 9.05 a.m. After signing the register, I went for my disciplinary duty in the school corridor. Then I returned to the teacher's staff room to attend the teacher's prayer. After the school prayer, we went back to the allotted room. A vaccination programme was held during the morning session for students of Classes 5 and 10, with the support of medical professionals such as doctors and nursing staff. During the first period, I took a substitution class in Class 5C, where the students were asked to read their English textbook. In the third period, I again got a substitution in Class 7A and engaged the students in simple vocabulary games. During the fourth period, I handled a substitution class in my concerned class 9B and taught the topic: Transport of Oxygen from Blood to Tissues. During the lunch break, we served the midday meal to the students.
In the fifth period, I took a substitution class in my concerned class 8B and taught the topic: Kingdom Fungi, with suitable examples. In the last period, I got a substitution class in Class 5A, where I made the students draw pictures.
By 4:30 p.m., we signed the register and left the school campus

WEDNESDAY - 29.10.2025
No classes due to strike

THURSDAY - 30.10.2025
Today I reached the school by around 9.05 a.m. After signing the register, I went for my disciplinary duty in the school corridor. Then I returned to the teacher's staff room to attend the teacher's prayer. After the school prayer, we went back to the allotted room. During the first period, I took a substitution class in my concerned class 9B, where I taught the topic: Stages of Cellular Respiration, including its features and products. In the second period, I got a substitution class in 7B, during which the students were asked to read their Social Science textbook. During the fourth period, one of the teachers and I were assigned the responsibility of preparing an awareness video with two Upper Primary students as part of an academic initiative. During this period, we worked together to prepare the script for the video. During the lunch break, we served the midday meal to the students. In the fifth period, I handled my concerned class 8B and completed the chapter by teaching the final topic: Human Microbiome ProjectDuring the sixth and seventh periods, we were fully engaged in shooting and creating the awareness video on traffic signals and traffic rules as part of a school awareness programme. The teachers appreciated our effort and creativity in completing the task effectively. By 4:30 p.m., we signed the register and left the school campus.

FRIDAY - 31.10.2025
Today I reached the school by around 9.05 a.m. After signing the register, I went for my disciplinary duty in the school corridor. Then I returned to the teacher's staff room to attend the teacher's prayer. After the school prayer, we went back to the allotted room. During the first period, I took a substitution class in 6C, where the students were asked to read their English textbook. In the third period, I got a substitution class in 7C and was assigned the duty of monitoring the students during their Physical Education period. During the fourth period, I handled a substitution class in my concerned class 8B, where I carried out work related to my project. During the lunch break, we served the midday meal to the students. In the fifth period, I took a substitution class in my concerned class 9B, where I conducted a diagnostic test. For the remaining periods, as I had no teaching hours, I utilized the time to complete my pending college work. By 4:30 p.m., we signed the register and left the school campus.
