TEACHING PRACTICE WEEK 2: 13.10.2025 (MONDAY) TO 17.10.2025 (FRIDAY)

                 REFLECTION ON SCHOOL EXPERIENCE

Monday - 13.10.2025
Today I reached the school by around 9.05 a.m. After signing the register, I went for my disciplinary duty in the school corridor. Then I returned to the teacher's staff room to attend the teacher's prayer. After the school prayer, we went back to the allotted room. Today, our juniors and also first years of KUCTE, Anchal arrived at the school for their one-week induction programme. During the third period, I had teaching hour in my concerned class, VIII B, where I began teaching the third chapter - Tree of life. I started with the first topic,Classification and importance of classification. During the lunch break, I was involved in serving the midday meal to the students. In the fifth period, I had my concerned class IX B, where I continued teaching the chapter Digestion and Transport of Nutrients. The topic introduced during this period was factors badly affect tim and favoring heart health. In the sixth period, I was assigned a substitution class in V C, where the students were asked to read their English textbook quietly. I had no teaching periods for the remaining part of the day. During the seventh period, I was assigned disciplinary and monitoring duty for the Thiruvathira practice of students in connection with Kalolsavam. At the same time, sports practices were also taking place. After completing the duties and signing the register, we left the school campus at around 4:30 p.m.

Tuesday - 14.10.2025
Today I reached the school by around 9.05 a.m. After signing the register, I went for my disciplinary duty in the school corridor. Then I returned to the teacher's staff room to attend the teacher's prayer. After the school prayer, we went back to the allotted room. During the first period, I was assigned a substitution in my concerned class IX B, where I continued teaching the chapter Digestion and Transport of Nutrients. The topic taught during this period was Heart diseases - Types features and causes. In the third period, I got a substitution in VII C. As instructed by the concerned teacher, I wrote the Malayalam notes on the blackboard, enabling the students to copy them into their notebooks. During the lunch break, we served the midday meal to the students. After the lunch break, sports practices for various events began on the school ground. In the sixth period, I was assigned a substitution in my concerned class VIII B, where I continued teaching the chapter The Tree of Life. The topic covered during this period was Contribution of scientists in the field of classification. After completing the day’s duties, we signed the register and left the school campus at around 4:30 p.m.

Wednesday - 15.10.25
Today I reached the school by around 9.05 a.m. After signing the register, I went for my disciplinary duty in the school corridor. Then I returned to the teacher's staff room to attend the teacher's prayer. After the school prayer, we went back to the allotted room. During the third period, I had a class in my concerned Class 9B, where I taught the topic Structure of Vascular Tissues and Their Functions. This class was observed by my option teacher, and she gave her feedback. During the lunch break, we served the midday meal to the students. After the lunch break, the sports activities and Sub-District Kalolsavam practices started. I was assigned duty to observe the students during the Thiruvathira practice. By 4:30 p.m., we signed the register and left the school campus.

Thursday - 16.10.25
Today I reached the school by around 9.05 a.m. After signing the register, I went for my disciplinary duty in the school corridor. Then I returned to the teacher's staff room to attend the teacher's prayer. After the school prayer, we went back to the allotted room. During the second period, I got a substitution in Class 7C, where I made the students read their Social Studies textbook. During the third period, I got a substitution in my concerned Class 9B, where I taught the topic: Transportation of Water in Plants. During the lunch break, we served the midday meal to the students. During the fifth period, I had a class in my concerned Class 8B, where I taught the topic: Taxonomy and Its Importance, and simultaneously an awareness class was conducted for the high school girls. In the afternoon, all the sports and arts practices started. During the seventh period, I got a substitution in Class 6B, where I made the students play quiz and vocabulary games. By 4:30 p.m., we signed the register and left the school campus.

Friday - 17.10.2025
Today I reached the school by around 9.05 a.m. After signing the register, I went for my disciplinary duty in the school corridor. Then I returned to the teacher's staff room to attend the teacher's prayer. After the school prayer, we went back to the allotted room. During the first period, I got a substitution in Class 6A, where I made the students draw different pictures. During the second period, I got a substitution in my concerned Class 9B, where I taught the topic: Transportation of Food in Plants. During the fourth period, I got a substitution in Class 7C, where teacher gave me notes to be given, and I wrote the notes on the blackboard for the students to copy into their notebooks. During the lunch break, we served the midday meal. During the sixth period, I got a substitution in my concerned Class 8B, where, since the girls were not present in the class on the previous day, I once again taught the topic: Taxonomy and Its Importance. By 4:30 p.m., we signed the register and left the school campus.
