TEACHING PRACTICE WEEK 7: 6.10.2025 (MONDAY) TO 07.10.2025 (FRIDAY)

                                    
                   REFLECTION ON SCHOOL EXPERIENCE

MONDAY - 06.10.2025
I first attended the reflection session at the college. After the session, we reached the school by around 11:30 a.m., signed the register, and joined the regular school activities. During the lunch break, we assisted in serving the midday meal to the students. In the fifth period, I got a substitution in my concerned class 8B, where I distributed the achievement test papers. Science fair preparations were actively going on during these days. As I did not have any further teaching hours, I utilized the remaining time to complete my written work. By 4:30 p.m., I signed the register and left the school campus.

TUESDAY - 07.10.2025
Today was the final day of the first phase of teaching practice, I reached the school by around 8:50 a.m. After signing the register, I carried out my disciplinary duty in the school corridor. I then went to the staff room for the teachers’ prayer and, once it was over, returned to my allotted room. During the third period, I was given a substitution in my concerned class 8B, where I revised the topics that had already been taught and collected feedback from the students. During the lunch break, we assisted in serving the midday meal. In the fifth period, I handled another substitution in class 7B and spent time interacting with the students. After the school hours, we conveyed our heartfelt gratitude to all the teachers and staff members for their continuous support and guidance throughout the teaching practice. At 4:30 p.m., I signed the register, obtained the Headmaster’s signature and seal on the register and report, and formally completed the first phase of the teaching practice.

WEEKEND REFLECTION: WEEK 4 (10.08.2025)

The Natural Science Department of Sabarigiri College of Education conducted the weekly reflection for the first phase of teaching practice on Sunday, 10th August 2025. The meeting was held online via Google Meet from 10:00 am to 10:45 am. The session began with representatives from each school presenting their weekly reflections. Aparna first shared her own and my reflections from Karavaloor School, followed by Akshaya from Karukone School, who spoke positively about her week’s experiences. Then arathi presented her classroom experiences for the week. This was followed by Muhsina and Nuju from St. Goretti’s School, who discussed the challenges they faced due to recent changes in their assigned classes. Arya and Bhavana from Poredom School shared their reflections next, and Ameena from Vayala School concluded the presentations by sharing reflections for herself and Anuroop. TEACHING PRACTICE WEEK 7: 15.09.2025 (MONDAY) TO 19.09.2025 (FRIDAY)                                                           REFLECTION ON SCHOOL EXPERIENCE MONDAY - 15.09.2025 I reached the school by around 9:10 AM. After signing the register, I went for my disciplinary duties. Once the bell rang, I proceeded to the staff room for the teachers’ prayer. Following the school prayer, I returned to our assigned classroom. Today, there were no teaching or substitution hours for me since it was the school’s parents’ meeting. All the parents of the students had gathered, and the entire day was devoted to that. In the afternoon, we served the mid-day meal to the students.
