ONAM CELEBRATION 2025 - "Dhe Maveli Pinnem"
Onam celebration 2025
Our college celebrated Onam on August 26th and 27th, filling both days with joy, tradition, and togetherness.
On August 26th, the festivities began with the unveiling of our beautifully designed Onam banner, themed “Dhe Maveli Pinem”. We then gathered in the auditorium for fun-filled games in which juniors, seniors, and teachers all participated. Dr. Sabari Sir graced the occasion with an inspiring Onam message.
The games added much excitement, featuring lemon and spoon, sundariku pott kuthal, sack race, kulam kara, biscuit kadi, vellam kudi, pazham theeti, and spin-and-score. After lunch, we devoted time to rehearsing our grand Thiruvathira dance for the following day. The evening was spent preparing flowers for the Pookalam and decorating the general hall, which lasted until around 6 p.m.
On August 27th, everyone arrived in traditional Kerala attire, adding vibrancy to the celebrations. The program was inaugurated by our Management Chairman, Dr. Jayakumar Sir, followed by a welcome address by Principal Roy Sir. Anchored beautifully by Silla, the event also featured speeches from Sreedevi Miss, Shyam Sir, and an inspiring Onam message from Dr. Jayakumar Sir. Pooja sang a melodious Onam song, and Sarath delivered the vote of thanks.
The highlight of the day was the grand Thiruvathira performance on the school ground, which was a delightful experience. This was followed by a lively flash mob by students from different departments. A tug-of-war between juniors and seniors brought in much laughter and excitement, with the seniors emerging as winners. Our prize—a bunch of bananas—was shared among everyone.
Afterward, we all gathered for the traditional Onasadya. We helped serve the sumptuous feast before enjoying it together. Post-lunch programs continued in the general hall with performances by Shifa and Soorya, soulful songs by Sarath and a junior student, and a dance duet by Sarath and Soorya. The game kann ketti kalam adi added more fun, with both teachers and students actively taking part.
The celebration ended on a high note, with everyone dancing together—students and teachers alike—creating unforgettable memories. The Onam festivities of this year were truly special and will be cherished by all of us.
