SARGADHWANI - ARTS FEST

Arts Fest – Sargadhwani was celebrated with vibrant energy and creative spirit on February 28, 2025, at Sabarigiri College of Education, Anchal. The fest provided a platform for student teachers to express their artistic and cultural talents across a wide spectrum of events. The celebration commenced with a prayer by Reeba, followed by anchoring by Pooja S. The welcome speech was delivered by Anju, the General Secretary of the College Union. A graceful welcome dance by Akshaya, Soorya, Reeba, and myself set the festive tone. The event was officially inaugurated by Dr. V. K. Jayakumar, Founder Chairman of the Sabarigiri Group of Institutions, with a presidential address by Dr. Roy. Valentine's Day is a celebration of love, friendship, and togetherness, and this year, we marked the occasion with a delightful and heartwarming program at our college. The event was held in the General Hall at 9:45 AM, where teachers, seniors, and first-year students gathered to share the joy of the day. The celebration was anchored by Ammu Lekshmi, who kept the atmosphere lively and engaging throughout. The program began with a beautiful fusion of romantic songs, performed by Pooja, Reeba, Anju, Ashna, Prathibha, and me. Their melodious voices created an enchanting ambiance, perfectly capturing the essence of Valentine’s Day. On February 13, 2025, Sabarigiri College of Education celebrated National Women’s Day in honor of Sarojini Naidu, the Nightingale of India, who played a pivotal role in India’s freedom struggle and was a staunch advocate for women’s rights. The event was anchored by Arjun, who kept the program flowing with energy and clarity. The celebration began with Suja, who eloquently explained the significance of the day, emphasizing the need to recognize and honor women’s achievements and struggles. A memorable highlight of the program was a role-play performance by Anju, who appeared as Sarojini Naidu and delivered a compelling speech, reminding the audience of her legacy as a poet, leader, and inspiration to countless women across generations. INTERNATIONAL EPILEPSY DAY CELEBRATION

On February 12, 2025, Sabarigiri College of Education observed International Epilepsy Day, a global event dedicated to spreading awareness and understanding about epilepsy. The program aimed to educate and sensitize the audience about this neurological condition and how society can offer better support to those living with it. The event began with Arathi as the anchor, warmly welcoming everyone and setting a thoughtful and respectful tone for the day’s activities. Aparna delivered an informative and impactful speech, explaining epilepsy as a disorder characterized by recurrent seizures, affecting people across all age groups and communities. She emphasized the need for greater awareness, empathy, and medical understanding to break the stigma surrounding epilepsy. The event took place at 9:45 AM in the General Hall, with a series of inspiring speeches, presentations, and interactive activities that promoted gender equality in science. The event was anchored by Pooja, who maintained a lively atmosphere throughout the session. It began with a warm welcome speech by Gopika, setting the tone for the day's theme.
