WORLD BRAILLE DAY CELEBRATION
World Braille Day is celebrated on January 4 annually. Since January 4 was a Saturday, we celebrated it on January 6. The NSS unit of our college organized a memorable program to commemorate World Braille Day. The event aimed to raise awareness about the importance of Braille and promote inclusivity for visually impaired individuals.
The program commenced with a warm welcome by the anchor, Aswathy, who set the tone for the event. Aswathy's confident and clear anchoring ensured the smooth flow of the program.
Anamika delivered an informative PPT presentation, providing insight into the life and contributions of Louis Braille, the inventor of the Braille system. The presentation also highlighted the significance of Braille in empowering visually impaired individuals and promoting literacy.
Riya's speech was a highlight of the program, as she shared her thoughts on the importance of accessibility and inclusivity in education. Riya's passionate words resonated with the audience, emphasizing the need to create a supportive environment for visually impaired individuals.
The program also featured a quiz session conducted by Joysi, which tested the audience's knowledge about Braille, its history, and its significance. The quiz was engaging, fun, and provided an opportunity for the audience to learn and interact with each other.
