NATIONAL BIRD DAY CELEBRATION

The National Bird Day celebration was held at the General Hall on January 8, 2025, at 9:45 am. Although National Bird Day is annually celebrated on January 5, this year it was observed on January 8, as January 5 fell on a Sunday.


The program commenced with a warm welcome by the anchor, Ameena, who set the tone for the event. Akshaya then delivered an informative speech on the importance of National Bird Day, highlighting the significance of bird conservation and the role we can play in protecting our feathered friends.


Arya's presentation on diseases affecting birds was an eye-opener, emphasizing the need for responsible and sustainable practices to prevent the spread of diseases among bird populations.


One of the highlights of the program was a photo album presentation, showcasing photographs taken by the teacher trainees themselves. The photographs were compiled into a beautiful album, which was presented to the Principal and the school library. Our teacher, Sreedevi Miss, accompanied the students and encouraged them in this endeavor.


The program also featured a quiz session conducted by Aparna, testing the audience's knowledge about birds and their conservation. Pooja and Arathi's poem recitation was a treat, as they beautifully rendered a Malayalam poem written by Sugathakumari teacher, emphasizing the importance of bird conservation.


Bhavana's presentation on Salim Ali, the renowned Indian ornithologist, was informative and engaging, highlighting his contributions to the field of bird conservation. Muhsina's presentation on endangered species and conservation was thought-provoking, emphasizing the need for urgent action to protect our planet's biodiversity.


Nuju's presentation on the theme of National Bird Day was insightful, highlighting the importance of responsible human actions in protecting bird populations. The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Anuroop, who expressed gratitude to all participants, organizers, and guests.
