INTERNATIONAL DAY OF EDUCATION
Sabarigiri College of Education marked the International Day of Education on January 24th through a program organized by the NSS unit.
The event was guided confidently by Jerin, who handled the proceedings with clarity and ease. Jaseena Miss addressed the gathering with a meaningful talk on the value of education and its role in building a better society. Bhavyasena contributed with a creative poster presentation that effectively reflected the theme of the day.
The program began with a lamp-lighting ceremony, a symbol of knowledge and learning. Jaseena Miss, along with a few students, took part in this moment to highlight how education can bring light into people’s lives.
A candle-lighting activity followed, representing the idea that learning helps remove darkness and ignorance. Students also held balloons with words like 'Violence,' 'Inequality,' 'Drug Abuse,' and 'Persecution' written on them. These were later popped to show the commitment to fighting these issues through the power of education.
To conclude the event, Aravind led a pledge where participants held candles and promised to promote education and support an inclusive and aware society. The program was thoughtful and motivating, encouraging both students and staff to understand how education can truly bring change.
