CELEBRATING 77TH ARMY DAY


On January 16, 2025, we commemorated the 77th Army Day, organized by the NSS unit. This momentous occasion honored the bravery and sacrifices of the Indian Army.

The program began with Sumaya's anchoring, setting the tone for the event. Dr. Roy G., our Principal, addressed the gathering, emphasizing the significance of Army Day. He highlighted the Indian Army's illustrious history and its role in protecting the nation.

Prathibha Miss delivered a heartfelt speech, expressing our collective respect and gratitude to army families for their sacrifices. Her words resonated deeply with the audience, acknowledging the challenges faced by families of army personnel.

Aiswarya and Jerin presented speeches and a PowerPoint presentation, respectively, providing insights into the Indian Army's history, achievements, and contributions. Keerthy delivered a biography of Field Marshal K.M. Cariappa, who became the first Indian Commander-in-Chief of the Indian Army.

The cultural segment of the program featured Pooja reciting a poignant poem, "Ashwamedham," by renowned poet Vayalar. Devika narrated the story of the Indian Army, highlighting its bravery and sacrifices.

Adding a personal touch to the event, Sumaya welcomed Amritha, the wife of an army officer, who shared her experiences and insights. Her testimony provided a unique perspective on the lives of army families.

Aravind conducted a lively quiz on the Indian Army, testing the participants' knowledge. The English department emerged victorious, with the Natural Science department securing second place. Our Principal distributed prizes to the winners as a token of appreciation.

Gopika delivered the vote of thanks, expressing our collective gratitude to the participants, organizers, and guests. The 77th Army Day celebration at our college was a poignant tribute to the Indian Army's bravery and sacrifices, fostering a sense of patriotism and respect among the participants.
