VENAD SAHODAYA 2024

DATE : OCTOBER 4 & 5

The CREDENZ CBSE Arts Fest 2024, also known as Venad Sahodaya, took place on October 4th and 5th, 2024, at Sabarigiri English School, Anchal. As part of the event, a total of 53 teacher trainees from our college, including myself, were assigned duties to ensure the smooth execution of the festival.

The teacher trainees were divided into two groups, with the first group assigned duties on October 4th and the second group, which included myself, assigned duties on October 5th. On the day of the event, we arrived at the venue by 8:30 AM and were provided with specific duties and ID cards by the program committee.

I was assigned the responsibility of managing Stage 1, the main auditorium, where group dance competitions for categories 3 and 4, Thiruvathirakali, and Margamkali were held. The event witnessed participation from over seven schools for each item, making it a highly competitive and lengthy event that spanned over six hours.

Although the program was scheduled to commence at 9:00 AM, it actually began around 11:30 AM. My initial task was to organize the participating schools in a specific order, ensuring that they took their designated lots and were categorized accordingly. Once the order was confirmed, I took up my position backstage, where I monitored the time to prevent schools from exceeding their allotted time.

My responsibilities also included ringing the starting and closing bells for each performance. Despite the initial delay, the event progressed smoothly, and I thoroughly enjoyed my role in ensuring its success. Although my duty was scheduled to end at 3:30 PM, I chose to stay on until 6:00 PM to see the event through to its conclusion.

The CREDENZ CBSE Arts Fest 2024 was an enriching experience that provided me with valuable insights into event management and coordination. The opportunity to interact with students, teachers, and other volunteers from various schools was truly rewarding, and I returned home feeling fulfilled and satisfied with a job well done.
