SUB - DISTRICT KALOLSAVAM
Kalolsavam is a platform for students to show case their talents at various levels from school to state. It was held on November 11 at Anchal East Higher Secondary School. As part of our college's community outreach program, we, the teacher trainees, were invited to assist with the event. The invitation was extended by Punalur DD Jafar Sir, who sent an official letter to our principal, Dr. Roy G.
Under the guidance of our principal Dr Roy G and NSS teacher coordinator, Jaseena Miss, all 52 student teachers reached the venue by 8:45 AM. We were greeted by Jafar Sir, who introduced himself and explained our duties for the day. Ten students were selected for the award committee, while the rest of us were assigned to assist teachers in various classrooms.
Ameena and I were allotted room number nine, where Arabic and Urdu competitions were being held. We were tasked with assisting two teachers in the classroom, ensuring the smooth conduct of various events such as Arabic and Urdu poster making, essay writing, story writing, and poem writing. Our primary responsibilities included verifying the students' chest numbers, allotting seats, distributing question papers, and monitoring the time for each event.
Despite some initial delays, we successfully conducted over ten events in the classroom by afternoon. The teachers were extremely friendly and helpful, making our task much easier. After the program, we were treated to lunch by the school authorities. Following lunch, we spent some time exploring the school and watching other programs before departing at 3:30 PM.
Participating in the sub-district Kalolsavam was a rewarding experience, providing us with valuable insights into event management and teamwork. We were grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the festival's success and look forward to future engagements with the community.
