NSS SECRETARY SELECTION AND WAYANAD RELIEF FUND COLLECTION THROUGH LOTION CHALLENGE

DATE : SEPTEMBER 4

September 4th marked a significant day in our college's calendar, as we hosted two meaningful events that showcased our students' commitment to social responsibility and community service. The first program was the selection of the NSS Volunteer Secretary, while the second initiative was the launch of the Lotion Challenge Campaign, aimed at supporting families affected by the devastating landslide on July 30th.

The NSS Volunteer Secretary selection process culminated in the appointment of Aravind and Anju, who will play a pivotal role in coordinating and implementing various social service initiatives within our college. This appointment underscores our institution's emphasis on fostering a culture of volunteerism and community engagement among our students.

The Lotion Challenge Campaign, guided by our NSS Coordinator, Jaseena ma'am, brought together first-year and second-year students, who worked tirelessly to prepare lotions for sale. The proceeds from this initiative will be utilized to support the affected families, demonstrating our college community's solidarity with those in need. The campaign was officially launched by our Principal, Dr. Roy G, who purchased the first bottle of lotion, setting the tone for a successful fundraising drive.

The lotions were distributed among students and department representatives, generating a sense of ownership and responsibility among the college community. The funds collected through this campaign will be handed over to the Kerala University NSS Mission, which will utilize these resources to rebuild homes and support the rehabilitation efforts in the affected areas.

These two programs exemplify our college's dedication to social responsibility, community service, and volunteerism. By engaging in such initiatives, our students not only develop essential life skills but also contribute meaningfully to the betterment of society.
