ROAD SAFETY AWARENESS PROGRAMME

On January 28, 2025, the teacher trainees of Sabarigiri College of Education organized a Road Safety Awareness Program with the aim of promoting safe and responsible driving habits among the public. The initiative was a part of the college’s continued efforts to contribute meaningfully to community welfare. The program began with a rally, during which participants carried placards bearing important road safety messages. The slogans emphasized key practices such as wearing helmets, following traffic signals, avoiding overspeeding, and refraining from using mobile phones while driving. These visual reminders were aimed at educating both drivers and pedestrians on the significance of traffic rules. As part of the awareness drive, the students also delivered road safety messages, stressing the consequences of negligence on the road and urging everyone to adopt safe driving practices to prevent accidents. VISIT TO BUDS SCHOOL & REHABILITATION CENTRE

As part of our NSS activities, we had the wonderful opportunity to visit Buds School at Alayamon Panchayat—an enriching and entertaining experience that left a lasting impression on each of us. A team of 43 NSS volunteers, accompanied by our beloved teachers Jaseena Miss, Sreedevi Miss, and Prathibha Miss, visited the school with hearts full of anticipation and compassion. We reached the school by 10:30 AM and were warmly welcomed by the students and staff. Due to limited space indoors, we arranged a comfortable outdoor seating setup. Our friend Aravind introduced us to the students, and soon we were learning about their remarkable achievements—many had participated in Kalolsavam and earned great honors, showcasing their exceptional talents. The program began with a melodious song performance by one of the students, met with cheers and heartfelt applause.
