STUDY TOUR - DAY 3

Day 3 of our study tour took us to the scenic landscapes of Chikmagalur. We started the day with a hearty breakfast at Hassan Restaurant at 8:30 AM, followed by an exciting jeep trek. Our first stop was Mullayanagiri Peak, the highest point in Karnataka, which we reached by noon. The trek to the top, though challenging, was peaceful and rewarding. We visited the Mullappa Swami Temple at the summit and spent time enjoying the views and capturing memories. Continuing our journey, we paused at the serene Honnammana Halla Waterfalls tucked away in the Shola forest, where a light drizzle added to the charm. A quick stop for ziplining brought an adrenaline rush for some, while others cheered and clicked photos before we all gathered for lunch.

After lunch, we visited the Baba Budan Giri Dattatreya Peetha, a sacred underground temple revered by both Hindus and Muslims. The quiet reverence of the site left a lasting impression. Our final stop was Z Point, a hilltop with stunning views that looked straight out of a desktop wallpaper. As the day came to a close, we returned to our hotel, where a lively campfire brought everyone together in song and dance. The day ended with dinner and a good night’s rest, leaving us with unforgettable memories of Chikmagalur’s natural beauty and spiritual essence.
