STUDY TOUR - DAY 2

Day 2 of our trip began with our arrival in Coorg at 7:00 AM. After checking into our hotel and freshening up, we had a delightful breakfast that energized us for the day ahead. Our first visit was to the serene Harangi Dam, known for its peaceful ambiance, well-maintained gardens, and scenic beauty. We enjoyed strolling through the vibrant landscape and took plenty of pictures. Next, we visited the Golden Temple (Namdroling Monastery) in Bylakuppe, a spiritual hub for Tibetan Buddhism. The ornate architecture, towering golden statues, and peaceful chants created a deeply calming and reflective experience. After a satisfying lunch of chicken biryani, we continued to the Bamboo Forest, where we explored tribal sculptures, treehouses, and enjoyed activities like boating and ziplining amidst the lush greenery and riverside calm.

The Bamboo Forest was a nature lover’s paradise, offering a unique mix of culture, history, and ecology. We were even lucky to spot a few deer along the trails. Later in the evening, we indulged in some local shopping at an open marketplace, where stalls sold everything from spices to handcrafted souvenirs. After returning to the hotel and freshening up, we ended the day with a delicious dinner of chicken mandhi. With hearts full of memories and minds enriched by the day’s experiences, we retired for the night, eagerly looking forward to what lay ahead.
