WORLD HEARING DAY CELEBRATION

World Hearing Day was observed at Sabarigiri College of Education, Anchal, on March 6, 2025, as part of the NSS activities. Although officially recognized on March 3, the college organized a vibrant and engaging celebration to promote awareness about hearing health. The program aimed to educate students on ear care while integrating fun, creativity, and participation. The event was anchored enthusiastically by Suja and Prathibha, setting a lively tone for the day.

The session began with a video presentation, followed by an informative PowerPoint presentation by Ammulekshmi, which highlighted essential facts about hearing health and practical ways to protect it. Dr. Roy, the Principal, delivered an inspiring speech, underlining the relevance of World Hearing Day and the importance of preventive measures against hearing loss.

Adding a creative twist to the celebration, a Dubsmash competition was held. Shinu and Kripa from the Mathematics Department emerged as winners, while the English Department also impressed the audience with their engaging performance. The event stood out for its balance of education and entertainment.

Interactive games and competitions further energized the gathering.

“Start Music,” coordinated by Shifana, crowned Akshaya and Muhsina as winners.

In “Guessing the Voice,” hosted by Gloria, Keerthi took the top spot.

Another crowd-favorite was “Guess the Malayalam Song from its English Translation,” led by Soorya, with Shinu and Kripa winning again.


The celebration concluded with a prize distribution ceremony, where the Principal presented awards to the winners. Sreedevi Miss and Jaseena Miss also distributed prizes, appreciating the enthusiasm and creativity of the students.

Haseena delivered the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all contributors, participants, and faculty for making the event a success. The celebration of World Hearing Day beautifully combined education with entertainment, leaving students both informed and inspired. It reinforced the significance of hearing health awareness and encouraged everyone to take proactive steps in caring for their ears.
