NSS - SWACHHATA HI SEVA

As part of the NSS Swachhata Hi Seva 2024 initiative, our college embarked on a series of cleanliness drives and awareness programs aimed at promoting environmental conservation and community hygiene. A range of activities were undertaken, including campus cleaning, awareness campaigns, tree planting, public space cleaning, house visits, and distribution of informational materials.

Under the guidance of our NSS Program Officer, Jaseena Miss, these initiatives were meticulously planned and executed, ensuring active participation from all students. Our NSS team played a pivotal role in organizing these events, which had a profound impact on promoting cleanliness and awareness.

On September 27, a team of ten students, including Pooja, Jerin, Muhsina, Nuju, Malavika, Arjun, Aravind, Shamnad, Anuroop, and others, participated in a cleaning drive at Kottarakkara. Joining forces with workers from local schools, colleges, the municipality, and Haritha Karma Sena, they collected plastic waste and other debris from the bus stand and main highway.

This collective effort demonstrated the power of teamwork and collaboration. Simultaneously, other students from our college cleaned areas surrounding the campus. On October 1, a group of ten NSS volunteers joined forces with volunteers from other colleges for a cleaning drive at Kollam Beach.

Meanwhile, back at the college, students distributed notices highlighting the importance of proper waste management and cleanliness to houses in the surrounding locality. On the same day, our campus underwent a thorough cleaning, and trees were planted to promote environmental conservation.

These initiatives not only underscored the significance of cleanliness but also showcased the spirit of community service and teamwork among our students. By working together, we can create a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable environment for all.
